Don’t you just hate when people show up late?

Or when your team members show up unprepared?

How about when clients call, text or email after hours and expect a response?

Or when vendors run over on a meeting?

No call-no shows? The absolute worst.

What about when family members interrupt you when you’re deep in your focused zone and a deadline is looming?

Lastly, when team members take over your lunch or breaks with questions of low importance.

Me. Too.

These sorts of events are rare but when they do occur, they make me extremely frustrated because it shows a lack of respect for my time - my precious time that I can never get back.

But here’s the thing… if your actions and words say you don’t respect your own time, how can you expect others to?
