The lights are up all over town. Christmas music is playing softly in every store. Toys and gadgets speak to you from your television screen in between Hallmark movies. The aroma of freshly baked goods wafts through the air. Your spouse is kinder and your children less naughty.

Everywhere you look, it is evident the holiday season is fully upon us and yet, this year is different. It’s still 2020, the year of the global pandemic. A pandemic that reared its ugly head in March in the United States and has been causing necessary adaptations and pivots, financial struggles, havoc, and tragedy ever since. Yuck!

But (and there is a but), 2020 has also given us numerous gifts that are both delightful and unexpected. Gifts that we would not have received in a normal year.

In this episode of Productivity Straight Talk, I choose to embrace the holiday spirit by focusing on my practice of extreme gratitude that has helped me keep a positive mindset throughout this year. Instead of lamenting over all the coal 2020 has dropped on our doorsteps, I unwrap the gifts of 2020 to gloriously display. I’m not trying to make light of the struggles and pain you’ve faced, but with the right mindset and attitude of gratitude, I promise you can soar into 2021 using the gifts of 2020 as assets for you and your business!
