Happy Fall y’all! Even though it’s not technically fall until Sept. 22nd, I know you have seen pumpkin spice everything popping up in every grocery store and coffee shop. So I wanted to be the first to wish you Happy Fall!

For me, fall conjures up notions of falling leaves, cool, crisp breezes, bonfires, corn mazes, and pumpkin patches. Fall also serves as a great reminder that as business owners, we are heading into our last sprint of the year - the 4th quarter.

The 4th quarter is really your last opportunity to hit your revenue goals and tie up loose ends on projects, all while juggling long school vacations, gift buying, decorating, family events, and parties. Did I mention holidays? October, November, and December are loaded with them… and they’re big ones. All of that merriment can leave your heart full but your energy tank empty. Let’s try to make the most of our 4th quarter by not letting the spirit of the season be overwhelm - trying to squeeze everything in, but instead -  a season of enjoyment while also finishing the year strong and moving your business forward into the new year.

To do that, you need to throw uncertainty out the window and get really clear on what you want to accomplish both inside and outside your business, then whittle away at that list until it’s realistic. Goodbye denial. Hello 4th quarter success across the board.

In this episode of the Small Business Straight Talk Podcast, I dive into getting out of denial and getting clear on what you actually CAN accomplish in three months loaded with holiday activities, so you can finish the year strong AND enjoy the season!
