I’m not deserving of success.

I can’t hold boundaries.

I don’t have the guts.

I’m not worth that much.

I can’t lead that many people.

I don’t have what it takes.

I’m not smart enough.

Yuck! It feels horrible just writing those thoughts down. And yet, I’ve thought every one of them, at least for a moment in my life.

Growing up, I had a belief that I was stupid because I couldn’t spell. Spelling seemed to come so easily for others but no matter how much I studied, I found spelling to be very challenging. I was constantly made aware of what a poor speller I was because I took spelling tests pretty much every Friday during my youth.

Today, I have a much different opinion about my intelligence. Is it true that I am still challenged with spelling? Absolutely! But over the years, I did a lot of mindset work and let go of my grip on the belief that not being able to spell made me stupid. I reprogrammed my mind to think, Yes, I’m deficient in this one area but look how many other areas I excel in! For a long time though, I couldn’t appreciate my intelligence that allowed me to excel in other areas because I held the identity belief that I was stupid.

If I had let that limiting belief run the show throughout my life, I would have been completely stuck and sabotaged my success. I never would have gone after many of the goals I’ve now accomplished and I certainly never would have started my own business. Eliminating that crippling belief from my psyche enabled me to learn skills, acquire knowledge, and make decisions that would advance my career, grow my business, and better my life.

What head trash do you need to kick to the curb? You know, all the noise, clutter, and static that sits in your mind telling you you’re not deserving of success / can’t hold boundaries / don’t have the guts / you’re not worth that much / can’t lead that many people / don’t have what it takes / aren’t smart enough. All the junk beliefs that cause negative ripple effects throughout your life and business.

If you’ve got some head trash calling the shots in your life, you’ve come to the right place...

In this episode of Productivity Straight Talk, I sit down with the Founder of The MindFix Group, Erin Pheil, to discuss how many people are living life with one foot on the gas and the other foot on the brake, allowing uninvited head trash to control their actions and sabotage their progress. Erin lays out strategies to get unstuck and live a full, high-achieving life by eliminating such invisible roadblocks standing between you and success.
