There’s one part of my job I don’t like.

I mean REALLY don’t like.

And that’s hearing this from some of my 1:1 clients after peeling back the layers of their business for weeks and getting to the real (deep) reasons they want to improve their productivity:

“My marriage is failing because we never get quality time together. If I don’t figure out how to manage my time and run my business better, I’m going to lose her/him.”

It absolutely breaks my heart each time I hear a version of that statement.

The problem usually stems from spending way too many hours in the office going after their business goals full-throttle, that the lack of time investment into their spouse take a disastrous toll on their marriage.

NEWS FLASH: You can’t set a goal of working on your business in an office across town 10 hours a day if you set a goal of being home to cook dinner five nights a week. There aren’t enough hours in the day! Creating goals that align with each other is supremely important and in many cases, it’s important to the survival of your relationships.

In this episode of Productivity Straight Talk, I dive into the topic of creating goals that align with each other and discuss how you can work to create such complementary, holistic goals.
