What You'll Discover In This Episode:
“If you don’t learn how to bend, you’re going to break.”
You might have learned that the hard way. I sure did.
Now, I am much more discerning when creating my schedule, determining which ideas to pursue, deciding what I want to put on my plate vs. delegate, and what opportunities I say yes to.
My dear friend Courtney learned that phrase to be true the hard way as well. Now, she takes one month off from her business every year to travel the world and find needed restoration. She also plans a girls’ trip with me every year so we relax together, reconnect, and return to our businesses feeling lighter and refreshed.
As wonderful as such trips are, Courtney and I both know that annual trips alone do not improve our daily health. One can certainly burn out during the months in between trips and land in the hospital or with a new autoimmune diagnosis.
Instead, embarking on a health journey with long-lasting results means giving yourself more nutrition on numerous fronts - with vacations, exercise programs, a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, taking more breaks, walking in nature, stretching your body, and pursuing a passion. And not just when you happen to have the time, but with consistent effort to make your wellness a priority in the season of life you’re in.
When you stop negotiating yourself out of giving your body, mind, and soul proper nutrition by giving in to thoughts like:
🗬 I’m too busy.
🗬 I’m too tired.
🗬 It’s too expensive.
🗬 House chores are calling.
🗬 I just don’t feel like it.
🗬 I’ll get to it another day.
… and instead, start consistently giving yourself the nourishment you need across numerous fronts, you thrive. The result? You put more life back into your life. You feel better. You look better. You show up in the way your spouse, kids, team, and business need you.
Courtney has a heart for midlife women who:
- Want to make peace with your body, not battle it
- Are tired of plans that weren't made for midlife
- Need sustainable strategies, not quick fixes
- Deserve health that nourishes you from cell to soul
- Are ready to stop spinning their wheels with surface-level solutions
- Want to dive into the deeper work that creates lasting transformation
In fact, she is so passionate about helping midlife women embark on a health journey that will lead them to the beautiful, life-giving destination on the other side of stress and overwhelm, that she wrote a book that explores doing a complete reset of how you live, think, and take care of yourself.
Is that you? Do you want the secret to better health and wellness for midlife women? Then I invite you to not only tune in to this week’s episode, but also grab a copy of Courtney’s much anticipated book that features a four-part, flexible framework of simple, adaptable practices to help you shift from burnout and body obsession to mindful alignment and ease.
