What You'll Discover In This Episode:
I am not a morning person. Never have been. And yet, I have structured my routine so I wake up between 4:30 and 5:30am every day.
I bet youāre wondering why I torture myself like that when I am not a morning person, especially considering Iām a business owner with full reign of my schedule.
The answer is simple. I love my morning routine and go to bed looking forward to it each night. I love the quiet. I love my alone time before the rest of the house wakes up. I love having the time to fully wake up slowly and get myself in the right mindset to take on my day and all of the challenges it might present.I look at my peaceful early mornings not as something I HAVE to do but something I GET to do and over the years, Iāve grown to appreciate them. Thereās a phrase that says, āI donāt drink coffee to wake up; I wake up to drink coffee,ā and that resonates with me because I wake up early to reap the benefits of my early morning routines. Itās one of the many areas of my life Iāve designed that is constantly bearing fruit.
When you get really intentional with how you invest your time and start approaching your activities as creations-of-you instead of a have-to-doās, youāre closer to living your life by design instead of by default.
