What You'll Discover In This Episode:
Unless youāre in the mafia portrayed so gruesomely by Hollywood, making a single decision in your business is not a life or death matter.
You got that?
Sure, there can be consequences of making a poor decision but in many cases, you can make a learning opportunity out of it, walk right back outside through that revolving door, and make a different decision the next time.
I see every decision as going on a little journey in which you come to a fork in the road. You can choose to go left, right, or center. Yes, one path leads to a destination that is definitely better than the others while another path leads to a destination that is definitely worse than the others.
But you know what? No matter which path you choose, youāre not going to fall into a burning hot pit of lava and die if you choose the worst path nor will you float on a cloud up to a glowing castle and live happily ever after if you choose the best path. This isnāt a Hollywood movie.
So stop being fearful and indecisive when it comes to making decisions in your business! Itās extremely unproductive. Analysis paralysis doesnāt serve you. It only hinders you from taking action and moving your business forward.
You may misstep occasionally but so be it. Learn the lesson and make a better decision next time.
When you develop the skill of moving through decision making rapidly and confidently, your business will benefit by leaps and bounds because you wonāt constantly get stuck on your journey, hesitating which way to turn, which wastes precious time, energy, mental capacity, and other limited resources.
In this episode of Productivity Straight Talk, I dive into the reasons indecisiveness is the most unproductive place to be in your business and how learning to make decisions quicker and more confidently can benefit your business immeasurably.
