It can be hard as hell to get quality work done while traveling. You’re totally thrown off your routines. You let your great habits fall prey to living in the moment and enjoying your destination. There is definitely a place and time to travel solely for leisure but if you want to be productive while on the road, you need to be proactive. Otherwise, you’ll be nowhere near as productive as if you were in the comfort of your own office. That doesn’t mean you should slave away at your tasks and projects for eight hours a day while in another city. It does mean that when you choose to work, even if only for an hour or two, you should make sure you’re getting great, focused work done instead of wasting your time.
