Video Interview Show Flow

Thank you for agreeing to be interviewed and sharing your expertise and knowledge with my Small Business Straight Talk Podcast listeners.

The Interview

  • Once it is time to start the interview, click on the RIVERSIDE link I sent in your interview confirmation email.
  • My interview style is very conversational
  • I like to keep interviews around 45 minutes

How To Have The Best Video and Sound Quality

  • Most webcams do not provide the best quality audio. Please ensure you have both a high-quality camera AND a high-quality microphone if you will be using them separately. The Logitech Clearchat microphone is the minimum quality I require of my guests. Bluetooth or earbuds with a built-in microphone like the ones that come with your phone are  NOT acceptable
  • If you will be using a Wi-Fi connection (especially at home), please ask others on the network to refrain from streaming YouTube or downloading large files during your interview
  • Record in a controlled environment

Prior to Starting The Interview

  • Test your camera and microphone settings to be sure the correct device is being picked up by your software
  • We will test your video and audio prior to starting the interview

Getting Started

We will begin by letting my listeners get to know you as an business owner / expert. Once they relate to you and your entrepreneurial story they will be open to learning from you. Learning from you is the #1 goal of this interview

  • Once we start the recording, I will welcome you to the show. It might seem odd that we are jumping right in but I record the introduction on a separate track beforehand and will add it in the interview during my final editing process
  • Please expound upon your answers with interesting stories. Everyone loves a good story!

Customized Questions:

I will create customized questions around the agreed upon interview topic. If you have specific questions you would like me to ask, please send them ahead of time. Also, let me know if anything is off limits.

Closing Out The Interview With A Guest CTA

Before we end, I will say, "If my listeners would like to find out more about you, how can they do that?"

This is where you should mention your website, podcast, blog, etc. One call to action to connect is suggested.

And then (if applicable) I will say, "I believe you have something awesome for them too, right?"

Discuss your offer and how they can obtain it (optional).
