What You'll Discover In This Episode:
Looking back at the growth of my business, I can tell you without a doubt that my biggest leveling up has always followed a good hire.
Am I suggesting that you canāt level up without the ārightā someone? No, not at all. But when the timing and circumstances demand a new hire, itās important to be ready so you make the best decision of whom to hire and bring into your business. That way, you can glide through the hiring process more easily and your new hire can be the most beneficial to your business.
So when should you hire? Itāsā time to hire when you:
Have too much on your plate
Donāt have the experience/skill sets/knowledge/time required for certain tasks
Shouldnāt be the one doing the task (menial/administrative/manual labor/hate doing them) Hint: Your time is worth more than the work youāre doing
Lost an employee
Need to let an employee go and find a replacement
And maybe all of the above are applicable. It can be difficult to know exactly what your business needs most when it feels like it needs everything!
Thatās why itās important to determine your greatest immediate need. Strategically fulfilling your greatest immediate hiring need will give you the greatest return on your investment or successfully put out the fires that have become so big theyāre almost uncontainable.
I am not going to promise that hiring will be easy, but with a good system in place, it can be well worth it.
In this episode of Productivity Straight Talk, I dive into how you can find clarity on making your next hire so you can move easily and confidently through the hiring process when itās the right time.
