I love this description of what a story is: A story is the telling of an event, either true or fictional, in such a way that the listener experiences or learns something just by the fact that he (she) heard the story.

We all tell stories, listen to stories, read stories, and watch stories unfold on our screens either for education or entertainment. Sometimes stories totally enthrall us (think page-turners and action-packed movies) while other stories arenā€™t interesting enough to hold our attention so we tune them out and walk away uneducated and unentertained.

Today I want to draw back the curtain on a fascinating story that is constantly being told to every business owner, but is not necessarily being received by every business owner.

In short, your Profit & Loss Statement (P&L) is telling you an enlightening story. Are you listening? And are you taking action on your learning?

In this episode of Productivity Straight Talk, I sit down with Certified Public Accountant Anne Gannon to dive into the valuable insights your P&L can provide in an effort to help you understand what yours is trying to tell you so you can make better, more profitable decisions in your business.

In 2012 Anne left the large public accounting firm to build her own practice, and in 2016 Anne founded The Largo Group, a firm specializing in over-delivering for the entrepreneur and business owner.
