What You'll Discover In This Episode:

  • Potential Client Red Flags To Watch Out For
  • Current Client Red Flags Not To Ignore
  • Why You’re Turning A Blind Eye To Red Flags
  • The Repercussions Of Ignoring Them
  • Strategies For Saying No To Red Flag Clients
  • Tips For Firing Red Flag Clients
  • So Much More!

When I initially start peeling back the layers of new clients to help them discover their big why and vision of success, I always find out why they started their business in the first place. Some were sick of the repetitive 9 to 5. Some wanted to create their own schedule so they could be more present with their loved ones. Some wanted the potential to make more money. And some just didn’t want to deal with their shitty boss anymore.

As we dive in deeper, I often discover that clients who left corporate America because of their shitty boss traded in that one for numerous shitty bosses as a small business owner.

What do I mean? Well, if you fail to recognize red flags in potential clients or turn a blind eye to them for the sake of profits and you take on those clients, you’re effectively hiring shitty bosses who are going to make running your business a nightmare.

They’re going to be vampires, sucking away at your time, energy, money, and health as they:

🚩 No call-no show

🚩 Don’t implement your advice

🚩 Break your contact boundaries

🚩 Are incredibly needy

🚩 Must be chased down for payment

🚩 Complain about everything

🚩 Are rude to your team

🚩 Consistently scope creep

🚩 Cause you enough stress to power a jet engine

It’s not worth it! In the vast majority of cases, red flag potential clients become red flag clients once you take them on. Then, you either have to wallow in the misery they create or raise your white flag of surrender and fire them.

I don’t want that for you. I don’t want you to have to deal with shitty vampire clients who steal your resources and stunt your growth. I want you to be able to recognize red flag clients 10 miles away so you can steer clear of the tornado that surrounds them and go after your goals aggressively.

In this episode of Productivity Straight Talk, I dive into strategies to recognize red flags in both potential clients and current clients and lay out what to do about them to make sure you’re not sabotaging your business and personal life.
