What You'll Discover In This Episode:
Back in high school, did you consider yourself a good student?
Did you study hard, show up for classes on time, and turn in your homework?
Or were you perhaps more of a bad student – failing to study before exams, skipping classes, and not caring about turning in homework?
I know plenty of successful business owners who consider their younger selves to have been bad students but what they all have in common… is they became good students of their businesses – great even.
Every successful small business does the hard work it takes to run their business, manage their team, learn new technologies, stay on top of what’s trending in their market, and meet licensing, taxes, and production deadlines.
They are really good students.
And am I constantly reminded of that in my coaching sessions with Vita Vygovska, my client who owns window treatment company Vitalia, Inc.
In just about every session, after discussing whatever obstacle she is currently facing, Vita declares, “I am a good student, Amber. Tell me what to do.”
It’s like this empowering mantra she says, affirming that she will do whatever hard work is necessary to overcome that challenge. And she does!
She always returns the following session with positive results to report and an eagerness to learn and implement more helpful strategies.
Vita is truly a good student and it has served her and her business incredibly well.
In this episode of Productivity Straight Talk, I sit down for an entrepreneurial case study with Vita. We take an in-depth look at how she went from being a corporate dropout to a successful small business owner on track to make $1 million in revenue!
