I get asked a particular question so much that itā€™s high time I gave you the answer.

That question is How much time should I spend on training and what bucket does it belong in?

In case youā€™re a new subscriber or just need a quick refresher course, the buckets the question is referring to are my high-value activity buckets. There are five of them and each one represents and an area in your business where you spend a great deal of your time.

I encourage my clients to spend the most time in the bucket which provides the greatest return and propels them toward achieving their goals. Thatā€™s being productive after all!

The problem is entrepreneurs sometimes fall off track and live in the Other bucket - the one representing all the administrative and miscellaneous tasks. When that happens, you just keep sprinting on this never-ending hamster wheel and feel the giant side effect of overwhelm while getting nowhere.

Itā€™s super important to audit your time and make sure youā€™re not spending too much time in the Other bucket or any bucket, for that matter, because youā€™d be neglecting the others.

Training and support should definitely have a spot in your schedule and in one of the buckets but how much time should be spent on it and in which one? Tune in to this weekā€™s episode of Productivity Straight Talk to find out!
